Only S1100 primary roads and S1200 secondary roads are included. Geometry is
generalized for map reference. This is not a street-navigation or traffic map.
Names remain as supplied by Census. Source gaps and misclassifications may remain.

Per-state source and output hashes, conversion settings and counts are recorded
in app/assets/roads.json. Rebuild only with tools/build_road_maps.py using local
source ZIPs. The running application never downloads or updates road data.
